Shared Leadership - Raising the Voice and Representation of Muslim Women

The conference will launch an innovative new book on shared leadership for policy makers, HR professionals and managers.
 

This innovative and highly successful programme provided Muslim women with the leadership skills and opportunities needed to move into senior leadership positions.

The conference will present good practice and learning from the programme, applicable to all under-represented groups and the importance of shared leadership in organisational development in the 21st century.

The conference will launch an innovative new book on shared leadership for policy makers, HR professionals and managers.

Speaking at the conference will be:

■Yasmin Qureshi MP – Representing Bolton South East, Yasmin is one of the first Muslim Women to be elected to Parliament in the UK
■Yasmin Alibhai-Brown – one of Britain’s most reputable journalists who has written for the Guardian, New York Times, the Daily Mail and the Independent
■Carole Hassan – Chief Executive of LGYH and former Chief Executive of Trafford Council and Watford Borough Council
■Dr Shirley Tate – Author, Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and co-author of the book that will be launched at the conference, ‘Shared Leadership’.
The conference is aimed at public, private and voluntary sector managers and policy makers who are interested in addressing equality issues within their organisation.
