Good Governance a Code for the Voluntary Sector (second edition).

Good Governance: a Code for the Voluntary and Community sector (the Code) second edition is now available.  It sets out best practice for governing a voluntary or community organisation. It is not mandatory but organisations that comply with the Code are invited to state this in their Annual Report and other relevant published material, and pledge their support for the Code by signing up to the online charter.

The Code Steering Group provides stewardship for the Code.  It is made up of representatives of the original founders, the Association for Chief Executive Officers (ACEVO), the Charity Trustee Networks (CTN), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) with support from the Charity Commission and Lindsay Driscoll the independent chair.
