The Management Development Network, a network of freelance management/governance consultants and trainers working exclusively or primarily with voluntary organisations, is seeking an experienced administrator to carry out all membership, finance and other admin tasks, on an as-needed basis. MDN is a small organisation whose admin is straightforward but requires careful attention to detail. The administrator will work from their own home or office and can be based anywhere in the UK. They must either be self-employed, or working in their own partnership or limited company. We will also consider applications from organisations/businesses which supply admin staff.
Hours will range from less than one in weeks when there are few emails, event bookings, membership applications or other business to deal with, to two days in weeks when there is a lot of business, in particular in October/November. We expect it to average half a day/four hours per week (25 days per year), but this is just an estimate.
If you are interested, please see the attached detailed role description/person specification and application form.
The deadline for applications is midday Wednesday 13 August. Applications and supporting documentation, if any, should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, or to MDN at the postal address below. For further information about MDN see www.mdn.org.uk.
Our friends at Locality are holding their annual convention in Leicester in November. This promises to be one of the the community, voluntary and social enterprise sector's biggest and best events of 2013.
With delegates from every faith and all parts of the country, the conference was a truly ecumenical experience. A mixture of grassroots community organisers, researchers, government and policy officials, and religious professionals, all came together to share ideas and good practice in the world of Faith-based social action.
