Housing Justice support for Winter Night Shelters

 

Housing Justice is the national voice of Christian action on housing and homelessness, and campaigns for more affordable housing and better services for people in housing need. Housing Justice provides advice and support to churches and others exploring how to respond to homelessness, and offer a package of support to those considering setting up a Winter Night Shelter. This includes meetings to help identify needs and gaps in services; analyse whether a church winter shelter is an appropriate response; who to partner with; the role of the church and other homelessness agencies and the statutory authority etc. Also included is training for volunteers and good practice policies and guidelines.
