Meaningful Consultation with Faith Groups

28 Apr 2010 - 9:30am - 4:00pm

Organised by the Consultation Institute  - looks like an expensive event at £199.00 plus vat for Charity and Voluntary groups but ...?

"The imminent General Election is certain to raise issues of community cohesion and Faith will play a major role.

The well-reported letter to the Sunday Telegraph by seven Bishops,  “deeply concerned at the apparent discrimination shown against Christians”  is just one of the many community issues that needs to be addressed

Meaningful Consultation with Faith Groups  will tackle this issue among others which illustrate the need for better consultation and engagement with a wide variety of community interests. Faith Groups have particular characteristics, many of which pose significant challenges.

This Seminar offers an opportunity for those involved in public engagement to consider some of the more immediate issues, as well as longer-term strategies, to fulfil stakeholder expectations and meet recent legislation on public involvement."
