16 Mar 2011 - 9:45am - 3:30pm

With limited budgets and staff, churches and community projects rely heavily on volunteers but…

Are organisations really looking after and listening to them?  Do organisations make the most of each volunteer's potential?

Starting promptly at 10 am the day will cover…

§         Understanding motivations: why do people volunteer for Christian projects?

§         Why the best projects are full of volunteers

§         Top tips on how to motivate others

§         The art of communication and how to deal with tricky issues

§         Helpful websites and books to continue your learning

The facilitators:

Adam Bonner, Hayley Teague and Jill Clark from Livability’s Community Mission team.  The team work with a wide range of churches and Christian projects wrestling with these issues and bring experience and reflection sharpened by engagement and lively debate.
